Hearing screening in your browser
A quiet four minutes
for your hearing.
Four tones per ear. No sign-up, no clinic, no jargon — just a clear picture of what you can hear today, and an honest note about when to see someone.

What you need
These three things make the difference between a useful result and a guess.
Wired headphones
Over-ear or in-ear, plugged in. Bluetooth adds delay and drops quiet tones, so wired works best.
A quiet room
Somewhere without a fridge hum, traffic or conversation. A bedroom with the door shut is ideal.
About four minutes
Take it in one sitting. If you get distracted, the tones reset and you can start again.
How it works
The same ascending method used in clinic screenings, adapted for a quiet room and a pair of headphones.
- 01
Set your listening level
A reference tone helps you find a comfortable volume before anything is measured.
- 02
Answer one tone at a time
Tones play to each ear in turn, getting softer. You simply say whether you heard each one.
- 03
Read your chart
Your thresholds become a chart like an audiogram, with a plain summary and next steps.
A screening, not a diagnosis
Browser audio is not calibrated like a clinic booth, so treat your chart as an indication rather than a measurement. Book an appointment with an audiologist if any of these apply to you.
- Sudden hearing loss, especially in one ear — seek care the same day.
- Ringing, fullness or dizziness that has appeared recently.
- You keep asking people to repeat themselves.
- Your result sits below the normal range on this test.
